This thoughtfully designed retreat has something for everyone whether you choose to partake in the specially curated outings, revel in a good book by the pool while taking in “Le Mistral” or visiting one of the high-points of the hotel, the Bastide Du Mourre Spa.

Our Private Hotel for the Week

Renowned by Conde Nast Traveler, we have chosen La Bastide Du Mourre, a 17th century hamlet with breathtaking views of the Luberon, as our residence for the week. Just a few minutes from Oppède-le-Vieux, one of the most beautiful Provencal villages, Bastide du Mourre offers a green setting in total harmony with the surrounding nature. Be delighted by the stunning grounds, predictably chic rooms, and a cuisine that strikes an ideal balance between well-being and pleasure.

Take time to enjoy the standout spa which features three gracefully curved treatment rooms with panoramic views, jasmine salt treatments, and plant-based oils. The spa menu includes a variety of massages, facials, and body wraps, accompanied by a pod sauna, a heated Nordic Bath deck, converted 1860-built oil mill with changing rooms and a herbal tea bar on the property's edge.

Meet Your Host

Lindsay Wheeler

Lindsay found yoga while working as an Executive at Citigroup in 2010. During this time, while leading a large organization through uncertain times on the heels of an economic crisis, Lindsay became intimately aware of how stress and incessant busyness was impacting not only her life but nearly everyone around her. Propelled towards change, Lindsay took up the practice of Ashtanga yoga and soon thereafter became a certified instructor. Suffice-to-say, yoga has been a positive and powerful life-changing tool in Lindsay’s life that has given her the ability to relate to the mind with more wisdom and less reaction. This, coupled with Lindsay’s passion for physical fitness and music, has inspired her style of teaching to be one that empowers each student to invite the power and joy of yoga into each moment. Lindsay is elated to invite you on this remarkable retreat in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Together, with her two dear friends and instructors (Tracy and Elsie), you are guaranteed to leave this experience feeling deeply connected to nature and to your authentic self with memories that will bring you joy for a lifetime.

Special Guest Teachers

Tracy Sharp

Tracy’s exposure to yoga began as a child. Her mother was a student and eventually a teacher of Iyengar. Committed to forging her own path, Tracy tried various forms of yoga before finding Ashtanga. This discovery was the beginning of a significant transformation which extended far beyond the familiar asanas. Over many years, Tracy expanded her practice to include creative based vinyasa. During the process of learning in 2010, the desire to share her experience was born and Tracy has been teaching ever since. Tracy’s classes are both calming and challenging at the same time. With her soothing voice, slower practice and hands-on adjustments you are sure to leave each practice feeling space in the body and the mind.

Elsie Brotherton

Elsie discovered yoga in 2010 when searching for tools to cope with stress and anxiety during law school. In 2013, after having settled into her career as an attorney, Elsie completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and soon realized that she felt called to share her passion for yoga with others. Elsie is the founder and CEO of Highland Yoga and the dream of Highland Yoga was born in 2015 when Elsie took the leap from practicing attorney to full-time yoga teacher and studio owner. Elsie believes there is no wasted life experience, and she infuses the discipline and passion that she developed through classical music studies and law school into her teaching and business.

Nature is the Provencale experience. You dine outside as much as possible, you live in the air, the  materials you touch are stones from the quarries, rocks from the rivers, paint colors derived from the sand. The nature is more powerful than man and draws us to live within it, amongst it, alongside it in harmony.
